No one captured the crippling loneliness, the burning desire, the heart aching love the Phantom had like he did. Gerard Butler delivers a brave, anguished performance, however his voice simply pales in comparison to Ramin.Ĭrawford, it's not even close. I read that he skipped school and saw the Phantom at age 12, and life changed ever since. Perhaps too, I am speculating that Ramin's success is partly due to the fact that he is the only performer compared to the others who has aspired to be the Phantom since childhood. Crawford gives a classical, stylized performance, while Ramin definitely delivers the emotion, which coupled with an amazing voice, really makes you believe he IS the Phantom.

I've only been able to watch Ramin Karimloo on DVD and you tube, but I have to agree that he is the best Phantom out there, toppling even Michael Crawford. He should be the phantom again! He is just amazing! Ramin gives it all! He just satisfies all of the things I would want to see in the phantom of the opera. However, I like the idea of the phantom having an angelic voice so he has a spot of beauty. So many people think the phantom should have a dark angel voice. I honestly have him on constantly! My friends think I'm crazy at this point! But I don't care, it's too beautiful 🤩 He is an amazing actor, and one of my personal favorite phantoms. He seems scared, almost nervous when Christine touch his hands in "Past the Point of no Return" but got more passionate than any phantom I've ever seen in "the Phantoms Lair". He is so full of emotion in both his singing, and movement. In my opinion, he plays the phantom in the best way out of any actor on this list. If you are ever stuck at home with nothing to do, I highly recommend buying or renting the 25th anniversary Phantom of the Opera! Until that day, I will be listening to the music and watching the dvd! I have never actually seen it live but I really want to soon! I don't care who it is (Unless Ramin and Sierra decide to do it again) but I really want to see it. We have watched it 3 times already and we listen to the music every single day on amazon music. We actually bought the dvd a few days later. It was AMAZING and Ramin's voice is phenomenal! I'm obsessed. Just watched The Phantom Of The Opera 25th anniversary a few weeks back.
